The cottage, with roots from the 18th century, is beautifully located in the middle of the forest near Gässhult's manor on a very large open natural plot where the mountain comes into view in several places. Here you have sun from morning to evening. And also flowers, butterflies and birds! Just a few steps take you out into the forest where you can look for lingonberries, blueberries and mushrooms.

Since the winding forest road leading to the croft does not allow unauthorized motor traffic, you are guaranteed peace and quiet here all summer long. Here, it is not far to several lakes and the sea with bathing areas. Two, or if desired four, bicycles are available to borrow. By car, it takes about 15 minutes to the nearest shop in Figeholm.

IN THE HOUSE

Much of the croft character is preserved: the fireplace, the wood stove in the kitchen, mirrored doors, exposed ceiling beams, plank floors, etc. Nevertheless, we have put a lot of effort into making the croft comfortable.

The kitchen is equipped with everything normally needed in the household: dishwasher, fridge/freezer, electric stove, coffee maker and microwave. We often also use the old wood stove.

The water comes from a drilled well and is very clear and fine after passing through a filtration plant. A water heater means that there is hot water both in the kitchen and in the shower. There is a new WC close to the shower. (The old solid outdoor deck is also still there). There is also a washing machine in the shower area.

In the living room there is a fireplace, a large dining table, a sofa bed (double), a coffee table, etc.

In addition to the sofa bed, there are three bedrooms in the cottage: On the ground floor there is a smaller bedroom with a bunk bed, cupboard and chest of drawers. Upstairs there is another bedroom with a bunk bed and a larger bedroom with a double bed.

OUTSIDE THE HOUSE

The environment outside is wonderful. On the balcony there is a barbecue and outdoor furniture. If it rains, you can sit and have coffee under cover on the veranda. The plot also has garden furniture, a hammock and a sofa with cushions. And then the rocks and the forest.

THE RENTAL

We have spent most of the summer in this idyll. We expect that the renter understands that it is a private cabin and cares for it as his own. The tenant leaves the cabin well cleaned and nice and the rubbish emptied so that the next guest will be happy to come there.

The green bin at the descent to the cabin is for household waste. In Figeholm there is a garbage station for other waste such as glass, batteries, etc.

If something breaks or doesn't work please let us know right away. More expensive items must be replaced by the tenant.

The beds contain only mattresses, duvets and pillows. The tenant is responsible for bed linen.

The rent is SEK 1,700 per day. Minimum five days.
